hey.. guys:
I got couple Q:
1. I bought 2nd PS3 controller but it doesn't include the charging cable. I notice that it is just a USB cable. Can i used my USB cable for my computer instead? I don't want to buy another cable from gamestop if i don't really need to.

2. Can i charge my sixaxis controller by plugging the usb cable to my computer? -the controller doesn't charge when i turned off the PS3.. I can't play PS3 for 24 hours.. i have a life.. however, i usually left my computer on for days..

Here's the thing.
This christmas my family can't really afford much.
I'm ok with that.
My mom on the other hand, feels bad because she thinks that she is obligated as a mother to give her children gifts.
So, she told my brother, my sister and I to think of something we want (obviously something inexpensive).
Truth is that I don't really want anything, but I know my mom will feel bad if she doesnt see the traditional tree with gifts underneath.
So I've decided to get a really thick book (that way she sees me spending alot of time with it) and a video game.
I know what book I want, but not the game.
Please tell me a game that you think I will really like, therefore I will really show my mom that I appreciate that she bought it.

Do you think it is stupid for sony to make a sixaxis controller which:
1. Can charge ONLY when the PS3 is on (Did they expect us to play the PS3 for 24 hours nonstop?
2. They called it the next generation of Dual Shock.. Just without the shock.. Du'h!
3. The controller need to be charged.. but Sony decided not to include the charger cable in the sixaxis package! Granted that it's only a USB cable... they should provide it, though.


PS3 best quality is its graphic but doesn't include a component or HDMI cable or making it optionable for people who have HDTV. I don't need AV cable anymore!

After buying here and there, the final cost that you need to spend to finally play the game in its best quality is 1100 dollars!

My modded xbox was working fine until recently when a wire got caught while I was carrying it in my bag resulting in the modchip coming loose from the motherboard (spider modchip - buyer beware!) I bought the xbox already modded and working with the required software so I have no experience doing it myself. I read that newer modchips such as the xenium gold are solderless and look easy enough to fit into place. So my question is...Could I buy this new and different modchip and install it myself easily to get my xbox working again or is there more to it than that, i.e. I'm better off paying someone who knows what they're doing?
