What are good toys for an 18 months old? He loves putting things together. Anything out there that's educational and safe?

At 18 months, the tough part is finding something that's safe, because just about everything fun is a choking hazard at that age. If he likes putting things together, Duplos can be popular. Good old fashioned wood blocks can be good too.
