A customer comes up and asks me for an item. I have to call downstairs for the item to be brought up for her. After about 5 minutes the item is still not here (elevators at this time takes a long time). I called the person bringing up the item and he said he was waiting for an elevator. She said I should bring it to her two blocks away because she is running late. She then says, "I am sorry if I am bothering you, but I thought it was your job". I said I am doing my job by calling to make sure your package is on its way. Right then the door opens and she gets her item. No thanks or nothing. I have learned when people are rude and demanding...you have to be extra nice. What's your secret to dealing with rude customers?
