I am more of a clasp hands over ears and sing 'rain drops keep falling on my head' kind of girl tho.
I say la lalalalala quite often... just as a coversation filler.... use it instead of humming... to amuse myself....

when sby wants to tell me sth that i know is going to upset me!!and i tell them"don't tell me!"and they continue so that's when i stick my fingers in my ear and go lalalala!:)
