Taking your question seriously, yes, most people do. It is a fact of our human nature that we hide our private feelings and beliefs from most other people, hence the "face in the jar by the door", that we put on to show other people. What we truly are is hidden behind that face. From the darkest criminal mind to the smoothest politician or world leader (is there a big difference?), we only see the face they want to put on for us to see. Sometimes it hides evil, sometimes it hides sorrow, but it is a disguise, all the same. Eleanor Rigby was no exception.
