My fiance says "I'm going to check on an airplane." He got that from his uncle when he was a kid and it's funny, becasue few people know what he means by that, and he even got some of his co-workers saying it!!

you know, when you're asking a question, how you have to pick a category? well, if it automatically picks polls&surveys, does that mean that the people at yahoo think our questions are dumb?

Was talking with a mate last night and this brought back memories...did your grandmother have her furniture covered in plastic to protect it? I suppose it was a good idea, but who would want to inherit a frilly hideous flowered sofa? You'd stick to the plastic if you were wearing shorts....ahhh comfort.
She also had those plastic runners. What was with that? Was my grandmother certifiably insane or did yours have this hangup too?
And oh yes, she also didn't allow wire hangers...only plastic. Much like in Mommie Dearest (Joan Crawford)
Thankfully she didn't hit me over the head with a can of Comet and require me to scrub the bathroom floor in the middle of the night.

All the news reporters are out interviewing icicles and pointing out other cold spots. Bridges and overpasses have been closed just in case they might ice over! My apartment complex sanded the stairs..... there was no ice on them. It's mass hysteria. Schools are closed. I drove 30 miles in to work today and didn't see a single ice crystal the whole time. Weird.
