Do you just want mindless entertainment where you can shut down your brain? Do you want a high quality 'film' with great acting, directing, and/or writing? Do you want high intensity action or adventure? Or are you more about comedy?

I mainly go for a good drama or thriller. Having a good director and/or good cast is always a plus. I'm also game for foreign films and smaller 'arty' movies. Comedy is more difficult as I can't stand dumb screwball comedies (especially if they have Will Ferrell or Rob Schnider) and I don't like pretentious comedies like The Royal Tenenbaums. And I'm rarely going to go for horror - especially this new genre which includes Saw, Hostel, etc.
