I live in a small town b/t Louisville and Lexington. I've also lived in Louisville, Highland Heights (Northern Kentucky), and Webster County in the west. My favorite place was Highland Heights. My least favorite place was Louisville b/c of the absoultely rude, snobby people. Lawrenceburg is just slightly above Louisville on my list, and that's because it's my hometown; otherwise, people there aren't any nicer than they are in Louisville, just more redneck. Webster Co. is very scenic and rural, but out in the middle of freakin' nowhere; I'm not sure I'd live there again.
There are good and points about Kentucky, like everywhere else. I like Murray, Cadiz, Mayfield, and Eddyville--the far western part of the state. The mountains--mostly east of I-75--are beautiful, but it's a very poor area with no jobs, I wouldn't live there. Then, there are other towns that suck--Winchester, Paris, Corbin, and Shepherdsville, especially. Kentucky is pretty, but overall it's not that great.
