I'm doing my "decades" project for US history and my decade is the 60's, and I chose to do music. However, I need help narrowing down the artists! I'm going to play name that tune with my class, and talk about some of the most popular/important artists of the 60's. So if anyone could give me a quick summary of 60's music, or narrow down the hit artists to 10 or 15 that'd be so helpful! I've been trying but I think maybe I'm missing some or have some I don't need. Any input appreciated. :) Thanks!

My daughter would like to go to The Honda Civic Tour. I don't know anything about this music. All I know is that Cobra Starship and Fall Out Boy is playing, but there may be more bands, and aparently my daughter is in love with cobra starship. Can you please tell me if it's age apropriate, and answer with something a little more relevant then: That music sucks, they're gay, let her go she'll have an amazing time(thats all you say) or it's inapropriate for any age tell her to listen to real music. Just anything that might be said, talked about, done, how bad are the lyrics, etc. I know mosh pits are dangerous, don't tell me that either. Thank you, your help is much apreciated.
