Music - 15 September 2006

I've wondered is there an actual name for the chords used to play songs like "Highway Song" by Blackfoot and "Green grass and High Tides" by the Outlaws? It seems that it sounds like the guitar goes one way and comes back again? Not sure if I'm making any sense? Not sure how to explain it.

I front a band of 6 guys, two in their 50's ,3 are 27-31 and our drummer is 22, we play classic rock, blues, funk and a little blue grass. Somebody came up with "IN DENIAL", but most of us don't like it. Suggestions? we play mostly family type shows, so keep it clean. (and we already discussed the F-holes, so that one is out)
