Apparently this film was banned back in the day but not its not any more, but I've heard its a pretty twisted film.

Has anyone seen it and what is actually that bad about it? Did it really scare you?

I'm not easily scared but I would really like to find a film that gives me sleepless nights - they just dont make them like the used to. lol

I saw SICKO last night and it is great! I have always thought Moore's films were interesting to watch, but that he was biased. But with SICKO he has changed his tactics and he really makes the US Healthcare industry look bad. In one scene, a uninsured man describes how he had an accident that cut off the tips of two of his fingers. He could not afford to have both of them put back on, so he chose the least expensive one (the ring finger for $12,000, the middle finger would have cost $60,000). I hope that the US goes with Socialized health care, because no one should have to worry about how to pay for care while your sick.

Here's my question. I don't want to talk about free speech. They don't have that in China. We don't even really have that here in America. You may think you do, but try saying "bomb" in an airport, or "fire" in a crowded theatre. My point is that every culture censors speech at some level.

What I'm saying is, let's put free speech aside and presume that all governments censor the speech, and let's, for the sake of argument, say that's ok.

Was China right to decide that Chow Yun Fat's role was "degrading" to the Chinese people? According to the Chinese government, the decision to cut the scenes was made according to China's "relevant regulations on film censorship" and "China's actual conditions."

Please...don't make the free speech argument. I already agree that China ought to permit freer speech. The point of discussion is this: Do you think their points are valid?

In the past Rakesh Roshan tried to bring them together in Karan Arjun but Ajay opted out of the movie and was replaced by Salman Khan. Later Karan Johar was planning to make a Historical starring both with Kajol and Preity however that was shelved due to untimely death of Yash Johar.
