Honestly it seemed to me like one of those "tries too hard to be artsy" type movies that everyone acts like they like because they think they are supposed to. I mean, it had it's moments, but all in all it was......boring. The acting was horrible, as well as the story.

Just my PERSONAL OPINION. Does anyone share it? And all you hardcore fans of the movie, feel free to get as pissed at me as you want, I don't mind. :)

You all know what kind of movies you like and most likely you know what your friends like too. But there's always that movie that you've watched and loved but can't or won't admit it to your friends. What is that movie? What did you like about it? And why would you be so ashamed if someone found out you liked it?

My answer: The Rocky Horror Picture Show... why? Because Tim Curry was a fabulous!!!

It was A LOT more violent than I thought it would be!
I thought that some of it was almost TOO violent. A lot of the deaths and stuff were pretty disturbing.
Overall, I did enjoy it.
What did you think about it?

Doesn't really matter what genre, except no sci-fi! Also, no horror movies unless its a really good one.. Example, I really enjoyed Saw II, but we rented The Hills Have Eyes last night and it kinda sucked. My favorite movie of all time is Garden State.. Hopefully that helps and gives a little bit of an indication what movies I would enjoy! Thanks so much!

I realize that I asked this earlier, but I left out a film, so I'll simply re-ask it:

Hello everybody. I recently added some money to my checking account, and I'd like to buy a DVD. I'm not sure which one to buy, though; I'm trying to choose between Yashujiro Ozu's Tokyo Story (1953), Carl Dreyer's The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), Fritz Lang's M (1931), Jean-Luc Goddard's Contempt (1963) and Frederico Fellini's 8 1/2 (1963). They are all Criterion Collection DVDs, so I only really have enough money to buy one of the five. Which is the best film?
