Are "thank yous" always better late than never?

A certain gentleman I have known all my life was very helpful to me one day last March when I collapsed at work....and, for whatever reason, it has taken me until today to thank him properly for it....although not for want of trying on my part....I just haven't seen him except in passing. Are "thank yous" better late than never?

Starworthy?

A cowboy rode into town and stopped at a saloon for a drink. Unfortunately, the locals always had a habit of picking on strangers, which he was. When he finished his drink, he found his horse had been stolen. He went back into the bar, handily flipped his gun into the air, caught it above his head without even looking and fired a shot into the ceiling.

"Which one of you sidewinders stole my horse?!?!?" he yelled with surprising forcefulness. No one answered. "Alright, I'm gonna have another beer, and if my horse ain't back outside by the time I finish, I'm gonna do what I dun in Texas! And I don't like to have to do what I dun in Texas!" Some of the locals shifted restlessly. The man, true to his word, had another beer, walked outside, and his horse has been returned to the post.

He saddled up and started to ride out of town. The bartender wandered out of the bar and asked, "Say partner, before you go... what happened in Texas?" The cowboy turned back and said, "I had to walk home."

what kind of hero do you want to be? for eg. curing illness, bring justice into life, or surf life saver, etc?

like Doctor, police, fireman, charity volunteerer, etc.

No hero is more 'heroic' than others. They are all heroes and they save the world. Mum & dad are heroes, they give us shelter and love. Teachers are heroes, they educate and raise our wisdom to be useful people. Etc. There are more that i'm not gonna include (cuz it will go on forever).

Apart from being parents or friends or brothers & sisters, etc What kind of hero do u want to become, and why (do u prefer this kind)?

I'd want to be a doctor, because I don't want to run after criminals and physically arrest them. I'm also too soft to do this kind of work.

What about u?
