They're universally acclaimed as the greatest rock band of all time, and as musical geniuses. Yet sometimes when I'm slightly buzzed I'll spin a few CDs from other groups, particularly the Stones, alongside Beatles tracks. Whenever I do, the Beatles sound like a bunch of kids alongside such ballsier music.

As far as I can determine from long critical listening, Ringo's drums and McCartney's bass distinguished their sound. Albert Goldman once described it as having almost a marching band quality--disciplined and restrained even on something like the fadeout of "Strawberry Fields Forever".

As time goes on, you have to wonder if they were really that special, or if they were just another talented band.

gone to another country in which you've never been before and visited a place that u knew every room in the place? i went to Germany when i was 17...we were in this castle and i knew every room in there..then at one point, i kept trying to take a step down and the tour guide asked me if there was something wron...without thinking i said, "where's the step?" she got really pale and said, "there hasn't been a step there for over 300 years." boy, did that freak me out...

Ok imagine you have just seen an answer that will take you a minute to write out properly and you want to get in there first. Have you ever/do you just type in one letter or word and then submit it to ensure you get in there right away and then edit your answer at your leisure?
