... (racist questions, prejudices, etc) to the point that you find yourself stooping down to the level of the ignorant person, such as the one who just asked a question and answer in a way that normally you wouldn't.

I've done that a few times, but lately I try to ignore those questions. I actually just typed up an answer to something extremely offensive and stupid, and (to my credit!) deleted it before posting.
