Desperation rarely confronts me. So, yeah, I'd take notice right away.
However, I was borne of desperation. In it's fire I was forged. With it's beating and hammering I was formed into the blade of today. In the years since, I have honed my wit on the many confrontations life as seen fit to test me with.
Here I stand before you today ... a man, confident in his being, sure of his mettle, commanding respect, and stainless in his honor. If I were someone else, I'd want to be me.
Well, ... er ...that's the way I heard it on the street, anyway.
