I have read it is best to grow longer fingernails on the hand that strokes the strings to better bring out the sound when picking the strings on an acoustic guitar, but I would really rather not since I don't like long nails. Could i become good at picking with just my fingertips? I practice just moving back and forth with the 6 strings using the correct fingers and i can do pretty well. Just wanted to find out what some of the more experienced players thought or experienced. Thanks!

As Idol literally means an Icon..
I guess the show should be titled "American Music Idol" because all that goes on that show is just music related.

I am an honors student and highly active in community service and I've met several teens of my age who are more successful than me in education and really making a difference in community.
Are they or myself not eligble for the title "American Idol" just because we can not sing?

but my band needs some hits....

okay so it seems:

recuring beats with ( no variation in the music)
kindergarden lyrics ( that rhyme) and
topics on love , lust, and broken hearts.

seems to do it.

So , help us make a hit!!!!

ex:
Keisha cole - "That night"
rich boy- "This is why Im hot"
Most pop/rock songs.

so what about bands like
rascal flatts, daughtry, and adult alternatives that make it pretty big?

we've been going out for 1 and a half.....and my man still tells me he doesnt trust me(like when i go out to have dinner with my girlfriends he thinks i'm cheating on him).....I've done everything I can do to show him that my feelings are real....I dont know if he just cant trust me because everything is so good to be true or he's just afraid to get his heart broken.....I know good relationship is based on trust and I'm trying to build that with him but it seems kinda hard.....any advice?
