Costello just "happens" to notice Damon's character at the store and asks him if he lives with his grandma, blah blah blah, then gives him lots of stuff and says come see me...it seems like he could possibly be his dad with a slick move like that, where he can help mold and shape his son without ever having to take true responsibility. And obviously Damon alludes to that when he kills him, like potentially he has figured it out.
And, I think in the beginning of the movie, it looks like there are flowers from "F. Costello" at his mom's funeral. Why would that be?! Yes he has a dad that worked at the airport, but we all know that sometimes the dad is secretly someone else...and didn't Frank say something to him about his father, and sort of dissed him?
No doubt I am confused by lots of this movie, but I just kept thinking all along that he would be exposed as one of their dads by the end...
