I asked my boss a question about my work hours when she was busy doing something else and she indicated I shouldn't interrupt her. Now I feel bad. How can I prove myself to her?

Quit worrying about kissing butt. Remember, you were looking for a job when you found that one. Bosses often behave that way to keep you in "your place". Why not the next time she wants to tell you what to do, you tell her you're busy, talk to me later.

hey you work for a women that's the problem right there.
don't work for a women they are not capable of intelligent leadership. most of the them go nuts once a month or more often.
women are fine at home . i suggest you help this poor woman to understand her role is at home raising a family and making the house comfortable for her husband. if i were you i would buy her a good cook book some oven mitts and farewell card.
arrange for the other men at your work place to help her with this improvement in her life. make a banner farewell nice to see you go thing . raise some money to buy her some good bake-ware and some patterns for dresses she can sew at home.
this is really the only way to solve your problem.
you should be the boss .

Well, don't feel embarassed. She's rather impatient. Prove it through your work. Give 110%, submit only your best work, and do a lot of kissing up... =-)

don't feel bad, just do your job.
it's always good to ask questions... a lot better than making a mistake and getting fired!
