Entertainment & Music - 10 December 2006

Let's face it, sooner or later there's gonna be an Aquaman movie, or a Green Lantern movie, or a Flash movie... Movies we don't want or need. But imagine all of them together in film (and add Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter and Black Canary). Get a good director (like Bryan Singer). And considering Warner's has the rights to all the DC characters, it would be perfectly possible. Just how mouthwatering is that?

My son has a relatively cheap electric guitar, and he's flirting with the idea of trying an electric bass. I thought that rather than going out and buying or renting an electric bass that maybe I could just destring his electric and toss on some bass strings (yes, I know there's only four strings).

It might not be perfect, and I'll have to find a way to tune it (my tuner is only for standard six-string tuning) but is there any major reason why it wouldn't work and/or anything to look out for when doing it?

A blonde hurries into the emergency room late one night with the tip of her index finger shot off.

"How did this happen?" the emergency room doctor asked her.

Well, I was trying to commit suicide, the blonde replied.
