I'm looking for a good film or doccumentary that's actually factual and doesn't romanticize their lives or make a mockery of them. Can anyone help me out? I'd be really grateful.

Dances with Wolves
Thunderheart
Coyote Waits (2003) Television Show
Skinwalkers (2002) Television Show

Also a simple search of imdb.com (movie based website) revealed over 1300 titles for Native American works.

The top here are just some of my favorites.

There's a Canadian film called "Dance Me Outside". It's a drama about two Native Canadian teens who want to get off the reservation and go to Toronto to go to automotive mechanic trade school, but they don't have any money. So they plot to rob this White drug dealer who sells dope at the local club to get the cash to get them off the res and in school.

It's a very good film, and it doesn't romanticize Indian life at all - I'd heartily recommend it.
