I prefer Tennessee because of its (mostly) friendly people, music heritage and appreciation, gorgeous mountains, warm climate (while still maintaining four distinct season,) strong economy, great schools (Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Rhodes, Belmont, etc.,) and Memphis and Nashville, which are awesome cities. Plus, it's close to Texas, the Carolinas, and the Gulf beaches. A great state!
I do not prefer Kentucky. I've lived there, and it sucks! The people are rude, impolite, and unhelpful. Heck, it's hard to even get a person to smile there; talk about some sour folks. People in Louisville and Lexington are cliquish and snooty; even in churches people get hateful with you. Some of the small towns (namely Corbin, Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, and Bardstown) aren't much better. The economy sucks, and the education system isn't much better. The ONE good thing about KY is the scenery; gotta love those gorgeous rolling hills!
KY and TN are rival states, that's why I asked the question.
