I need a complete explanation of this phrase for an assignment on discourse analysis...the complete sentence is - Action group Community Against Pollution has given the company a roasting over the emissions from its Hayes factory filling the air they breathe. Its a coffee roasting factory. Is it a noun phrase? Can't find it in any dictionary...roast sb yes but not give sb a roasting
