do you agree that home schooling is ridiculous...i mean how can it be fair as far as grades go and how could you handle never knowing more than your parents...

I hope someone can find this homeschooling question in the midst of all these random questions that have been appearing on here lately.
Seem YA should rename this category to the "Whatever you want to ask" category.
Ok, my question is about scheduling.
Do any of you take a fall break?
Do you follow a traditional school year?
I know some states have strict requirements on this issue, but I was curious. Today is Columbus day and the PS kids are out, and our co-op does not meet this week, but I'm going to go ahead and work this week.
I'd love to hear what the homeschool moms are doing this week.

how can i stay up all day if i didnt sleep last night?
i didnt sleep last night because i felt sick but i have to go to school today with out any one knowing i didnt sleepis there any kind of homade power drink i could make?
dose hot tea help? i cant drink coffe becuase my parents would catch on cause i dont normally drink coffe any suggestions would be great.

In homeschooling, what is the importance of quizzing? I mean, I know what my daughter is learning, but what is the importance of testing her on materials? I'm not talking about state-required testing, but like chapter tests on math or history. Any ideas?

My 10th grade daughter is homeschooling this year.... and so far ive bought her science, history, math, and language arts. Is that all the classes she needs to take this year? It seems like so little. Do I need to get more subjects. Im afraid she wont have enough credits for the year.

I was wondering cause i'm taking a Pet Grooming and boarding Corsepondence course and I plan to open my own business. I was wondering if anybody has takeing course's from home and have got a good job from it. and if you think that people will think you are just as qualified as someone that went to an actual college.
