Does anyone know how to break in (leather) rainbows? I've heard of wetting them but I don't know if that's true that it works or if that's a bad idea. And how long does it take to break them in in terms of just walking around?

(& how long would you say a pair lasts?)

well it is a look that is starting to resurface once again in the midst of 80s fashion already with the leggings and ballet flats. the biker look consists of mainly leather. but also the jackets itself is denim and leather and has a harley davidson look that you would see on most bikers. the look can't ever be complete without the leather pants. leather pants are making a comeback with the look as well for both guys and girls alike. i hope this look doesn't signify the re-emergence of bandanas, the billy ray cyrus mullet, and long hair for guys.

what do you think about this new look?

I am a 16yr old asian girl, 5'4'' and 107lbs. In tops I wear girls size 14, juniors sz 3 and womens size 2. In bottoms I wear girls size 16, juniors sz 5 and womens size 4.

A lot of my asian friends my age wear juniors sz 0 or girls size 12-14slim in bottoms. A lot of them are even too small to fit a sz 0. And these are not anorexic girls... they eat healthy and are naturally skinny asians.

I feel fat seeing how a lot of asian girls look!
My parents were and still are skinny too... mom was 5'2'' and 88lbs at age 19 and dad was 5'7'' and no more than 110lbs at the same age. I feel fat looking at their pics.

Be honest now... am I a fat asian girl?

Remember these jeans? before all this disco designer and then baggy and low rise hip hugger flare stuff happened?

They came in all sorts of neon bright colors.. navy, red, brown, green, blue....white contrast stitching, leather patch over back right pocket....knee patches...guarantee from Sears they would never wear out. Wore them from 5-15. I remember a few times when I was wearing the bright red Toughskins and if I misbehaved Mom would ask if I wanted a bottom to match my red jeans?

Internet has more than a few postings from people who say their parents made them wear them as kids and are now scarred for life.

They always were ill-fitting but if Sears would improve the fit, put a hip hugger low rise, rear lift, man they'd sell these to today's young women.

Yes, flannel shirts like what everyone wore in the 90's. I figured since the 80's are coming back I might as well get a headstart on the 90's. I miss that lumberjack look.

The girls dept usually carry up to size 16... which I assume is for 16 yrs old.

The junior dept is usually size 0-13. Size 0 is about size 12 in girls. So maybe the junior dept is for age 12-24?

The 80's was a pretty scary fashion time, the best word I can think to describe it would be hideous. But today I went to Marshalls to do my back to school shopping and all I could find was awful 80's fashion. It took my one hour to find a regular shirt that didn't have some funky design or didn't reach down to my knees. So my questions are...Who made the terrible mistake of bringing the 80's back? Are people really going with it? Do you people actually wear that stuff? What store can I shop at that will have some normal clothes (jeans and a t-shirt), something like Wal-mart?

i know this is a look that wasn't too far outdated when all of us were just getting out of the 90s. i remember wearing these type of pants when i was in middle school and thought to myself "i looked pretty stupid and silly in these pants"! times have changed and many guys and girls wear gym pants that flare at the bottom. our legs need to breathe too you know. but now that leggings have become uber-popular this year, do you think our gym pants will slim down and become elastic just like the skinny look?

I'm going on a Carnival Glory cruise to the Caribbean. There are 2 formal nights where everyone (who wants to have a nice dinner, at least) dresses up. I know that Carnival cruises don't really have strict requirements for ball gown dresses for the Captain's gala night, so I've picked some cute and pretty cocktail dresses.
