The girls dept usually carry up to size 16... which I assume is for 16 yrs old.
The junior dept is usually size 0-13. Size 0 is about size 12 in girls. So maybe the junior dept is for age 12-24?

The junior dept can suit many different ages depending on body size and style of dress....age doesn't really matter. Girls can begin wearing clothes from the junior dept from 13 yrs if tehy have matured more quickly and anywhere up to about 29 if they still dress younger. All depends on the person...hope this helps!

The size 16 in girls is definitely not for 16 year old girls, it is for younger kids, maybe like 12 or 13, the juniors dept is for younger adolescents, like from ages 13 to about 23 or so, after that, you are an adult, and should probably start dressing like one. I hate it when I see these older women like 30 and up, still trying to wear their teenage daughters clothes. Get over it and grow up already, you're not cool wearing that stuff, trust me, and your daughter and her friends don't think so either.

I haven't been able to fit into anything in the girls department since I was at least 12. So I'm guessing the junior department can be 12 until everything stops fitting.

Well I am not sure what the junior deparment could be for.The junior dept is not for people up to a certain age. different people wear different styles, and some may prefer clothes in the juniors other than the womens', but that is their choice.

actually if you can find a style that doesn't look too young on you and can still fit into a junior size, its for anyone.
I'm 41 and still get some clothes in the juniors department. They have really cute shirts!

its not age, its size. Im 13, but Im really tall and skinny so I fit in size 0 in jeans and smalls for shirts. ive been doing it scince last year. Oh, no 16 year ld would shop in girls, they are sizes, not ages!

it's for as old as you still feel comfortable and do not look silly wearing the clothes. I still prefer the juniors department and I am almost 35 nothing too teenager looking but the cute styles suit my tastes better than most misses that just look boring.
