I was born with naturally black, curly hair, but it has straightened out in the past 10 years. I can't seem to get my hair to hold a curl from a curling iron no matter what. Does it have to do with the texture of my hair?

I shampoo and condition every day. I've dyed my hair 3 or 4 times, but nothing damaging. I also use a light leave in spray conditioner (infusium 23). How can i make it curl? It works for a little while with overnight wet curlers, but i need to know if i can make it work with a curling iron. Help? I love curls, and i can't do much anything else =\

I have naturally red hair and have had it dyed a golden blonde colour at the hairdressers recently, but cannot afford to go back to have it done there again. Also, they did a bad job of it anyway as the hair was khaki at first before going a nice colour after about 1 and a half weeks. I have tried to just pre-lighten the roots (the kit does include bleach) and then applied Loreal Castings Golden Blonde over my whole head of hair but the roots are a different colour to the rest of my hair. If I bought more Loreal castings Golden Blonde (it is a semi-permanent dye) and applied again approx 1 to 2 weeks later will it hide the roots? I did pre-lighten till yellowey colour but the dye on the roots has gone a darker colour than the rest of my hair and has some reddish colour to it a bit aswell. Thought it may be because I have dyed over the pre-lightened bit but just 1 day later that it hasn't taken as well as on the rest. I live in England.

I've been dropping hair a lot lately and my hair's starting to thin. I suspect it's diet related because I started to stop eating rice (I eat meat and veg and all that, just not rice) and substitute lunch with snacks like biscuits and apple crumble. Does anyone knows if not eating rice would result in hair loss?

And how long does my hair need to grow back if I take vitamin supplements? I'm current on Minoxidil too.
