I have naturally red hair and have had it dyed a golden blonde colour at the hairdressers recently, but cannot afford to go back to have it done there again. Also, they did a bad job of it anyway as the hair was khaki at first before going a nice colour after about 1 and a half weeks. I have tried to just pre-lighten the roots (the kit does include bleach) and then applied Loreal Castings Golden Blonde over my whole head of hair but the roots are a different colour to the rest of my hair. If I bought more Loreal castings Golden Blonde (it is a semi-permanent dye) and applied again approx 1 to 2 weeks later will it hide the roots? I did pre-lighten till yellowey colour but the dye on the roots has gone a darker colour than the rest of my hair and has some reddish colour to it a bit aswell. Thought it may be because I have dyed over the pre-lightened bit but just 1 day later that it hasn't taken as well as on the rest. I live in England.

the problem you are having is using a "golden" blonde haircolour, non-professionals that don't know the science behind good hairdressing ALWAYS seem to think that their hair will turn out the same as the model on the front of the box which just isn't the case, you just shouldn't apply a golden blonde colour after bleaching to the pale yellow stage and DEFINATELY not loreal. no wonder the hair has darkened, what you need is a NEUTRAL based blonde shade in level 9, try goldwell topchic http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-x-Goldwell-Topchic-Hair-Colour-9N-Very-Light-Blonde_W0QQitemZ110111199273QQihZ001QQcategoryZ31412QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem and mix with 20vol developer (peroxide) in a 50/50 mix for 20 mins and this will get you a nice blonde shade.

hair dressers under no circumstances flow ultimate to the muse and that extremely bugs me because of the fact which you regularly get that darkish bit! what i do is i exploit the domicile kits and positioned a number of it on the very root of my hair and flow away it for 10 minutes or a pair of one/3 of the time its helps and then cover the remainder of your hair and flow away till the circumstances up. that works for me i'm hoping it helps! :)

i have naturally red hair and i've died mine blonde. unfortunately theres nothing you can do about it yourself. you have to go to the hair dressers. Trust me, this is coming from experience you do not want to try and do it yourslef or you'll find yourself spending more to sort it out afterwards.
