When life has absolutely no meaning, it is as we have become a colony of mindless ants serving or queenn, in this case the queen is money.

If you say power then life truely has no meaning.

With Bush saying that he will veto the bill that just passed, it becomes increasingly apparent that the only people against this potentially world changing research are the people who don't understand it. What do you think?

do you think that maybe they did it because they were tormented beyond what anyone could understand and maybe they are the true victims. do you think society should give them another chance and fund a special program just to help these poor souls?

OK...try to remain open minded reading this and ask yourself the question again after youve read it fully.

If I see an object sitting in front of me, lets say a shoe and you can see it too. You may tell me that you can see exactly the same as I do but how do I know what you are really experiencing?

We may both call it blue but can you say with certainty that were both experiencing the same thing, given the fact that 'blue' is just a label and although individually we may experience the same thing each time we look at it, in effect we could be seeing something completely different. Since it remains constant we give it this label each time we experience it.

Taking this small example we can apply it to the rest of our senses and soon we can see by following this logic that although each experience we have is intrinsically personal and may remain constant, we have no way of knowing for certain that other people's senses are the same as our own.

And what's the relation between "Achilles and the Tortoise" and "The Tortoise and the Hare" fable (by Aesop?)? Is it the same story, or different? I know Zeno came up with the Achilles problem. Was it meant to be absurd, like the arrow that never reaches its mark because it can be infinitely said to be "halfway there"? Can someone remind me of what happened to the hare in Aesop's fable? Did he eat and get fat or just fall asleep before the finish line? Thanks!

are we not being simply fufilling our desires? what is free will, choosing one desire over another? If that is so, then one could say whatever one desires most they are subject to that desire. Don't BS me either, I know you ppl have desires and succum to them even if they are to serve the lord, they're still desires.

The only way I can think of having free will is being free to choose your desires and for most it seems that they do not choose their desires but are rather based off of their perceptions or misperceptions of reality. If you want my suggestion on how to really have free will I'd say you have to first see the emptiness in your perceptions.

It may not be matter of surprise to you, but for me it is. Everything has it maximum point and minimum too. similary, we have seen so many things have been discorvered because of human brain. Other result of not utilizing brain can be also clearly seen. but it is so suspense ,what is our maximum utilization of brain. is there anything in the world which is resulted after the fullest use of brain? I am verymuch eager to know it.

Oh and here's a good one that you may've heard before.

Descartes walked into a hot-dog shop.

"One hot-dog please," he said.

"Would you like mustard with that?" the owner asked.

Descartes hesitated. "I think not," he decided, and promptly vanished.
