There is probably some truth in the previous answers, so i won't repeat what they say ,but add a few thoughts...
1; Most people largely live inside a thought bubble, this means that they miss some of what's going on around them, and can lead to misjudgments, and accidents. The best way to change this would be to take up a regular practice designed to make a space in the flow of thoughts, and degree of absorbtion in them. Good one's are sitting, and walking meditation, Chi gong, tai chi, simple mantras, and some martial arts. Some of these have the added bonus of focusing the mind on the body ,which will specifically reduce the likelihood of accidents, and improve alertness, health, etc..

2: Life has many difficulties, everyone experiences some ,some experience many. Whether this is chance ,Karma, or some previously mentioned cause, it is happening, and we all have to learn to live with what life gives us.
I know through my own experience of pain, that 2/3rds of the unpleasantness, is due to the resistance. That's 70%. Meditation can help again, as the resistance is due to deep seated habits in thought, and more thought isn't likely to change much. Prehaps Cognitive Psychology might help, but I know nothing about it really.
That in turn allows the block to flow and the issue can run it's course. It's like being tired and resisting sleep. You just get more and more tired. Once you accept the situation, and allow sleep to come, it eventually passes ,and you feel much better for it.
3: Difficulties often visit those who are on a path of discovery. those who only seek comfort ,may have an easy life for a while, but they will not evolve in the same way. One year i had many of my possessions burnt on two ocassions, and stolen once, each time i felt freer, and had a deeper sense of independence, and fearlesness.

Its your way of negative thinking.Try to adjust with the practical situation with a good inner feelings of satisfaction and try your best to make it better day by day. The so called luck will create your smooth path in a nice way.

Honestly, I believe that there is no such thing as 'luck'. I believe that we create our own destiny by what we do, feel, say, and think. You can change your life for the better by thinking positive. It's not going to create a miraculous change in your life, but things will get better eventually. Good lu...wait, I mean I wish you well. LOL. : )

Bad luck=bad planning. You either plan carefully and have a positive attitude that things will work out, or you don't plan well (or at all), ask "Why me?" and things turn out badly.

New motto: "If you fail to plan, plan to fail."
