does it hurt if you have a full breath of air in?
You can't really diagnose things over the internet because there are too many questions answered. But if it hurts when you breath in, it could be many things, however two things are more likely:
1. rib subluxation (see your chiropractic doctor)
2. Pleuracy / Pleural Effusion / Pleuritis (see your medical doctor)

Dr. Rice - Rib subluxation (or slipping rib syndrome) is actually an infrequent cause of chest pain and is thought to arise from weakness or rupture of the fibrous attachments of the anterior ribs. Supposedly this allows the cartilaginous tips of the ribs to sublux, pinching the intercostal nerves. This is usually more persistent and is exacerbated by certain movements or postures. There is often a history of recent trauma and pain should be reproducible with palpation or the hooking maneuver.
Pleuritis/pleurisy is a more likely possibility. As you know, these are sharp chest pains that are worse upon breathing in. They are often associated with general malaise or a viral syndrome.
THE MOST COMMON cause of sharp chest pains in young, healthy people, though, is a benign phenomenon called the precordial catch syndrome. The cause of precordial catch is unclear, but the history is virtually unmistakeable. Its presentation is typically sudden, BRIEF, frequently left-sided (and under the breast), easily localized, nonradiating, nonexertional, and importantly, intensified by inspiration.
Hope that helps...

well...it could be a number of things. First off a heart attack can happen to anyone, no matter the age, but that most likely isn't it. If you have a family history of heart disease, that could be a sign of things.
I have Mitral Valve Prolapse. Its a fancy word for when a valve in your heart doesn't function right, which is common in middle aged women. Its not as bad as it sounds. Anyway i'd suggest asking a doctor, and telling them what you've asked on here, its your best bet.

You should go and see a doctor. It might not be serious, but those are not good signs. Could anyone drive you to a clinic or some place ?
Suggestion of course But, once you are with the doctor, at least you will find out what can be causing this pain.
Take a good care of yourself

See a doctor immediately. Wouldn't you love to hear the doctor say, "no, you don't have any heart problems." ?
I can't say it because I don't know if it's true.
