I'm a recent entry to the pro wrestling fan world. I just started to get into it right before they changed their name to WWE. I was aware of it as I was growing up (1980s-90s) but never into it. For those of you that have been a fan all along I'd love to get some opinions here. Would you say it was better or much better during the 80s-90s, as good today as it was then, is it better today or getting better, or neither better or worse- just different, and why do you think so? Thanks!

Who thinks that WWE wresltling isn't what it used to be? I used to watch it all through the 90's and I loved it! It seemed like the matches were longer and it wasn't so predictable...Now it just seems like the plot lines are stupid and the matches are so fake...Does anyone agree with me?

I'm really getting fed up with this "Extremely Crappy Wrestling" bullshit. it's just a stupid pointless insult to ECW that had been constantly used by Jerry Lawler since 1996, you think he couldve come up with better insults in 10 years, but then again Jerry Lawler likes to have sex with 15 year old girls and snort cocaine (true story).

But what gets to me the most is that the WWE fans are now starting to say it which is stupid becuase their only ECW experience is whats being shown on Sci-Fi, little do they know that if this was the ECW in its prime (97 - 99) they'd be shitting all over the embarassment that is the WWE.

So if someone can answer me this, preferably a WWE fan, have you actually ever watched a proper ECW pay per view from back in the day before Vince took over buried it and pissed on it's grave,

So i hope you realise now that you really are being hypocritical when you say ECW is crappy, the only thing crap in wrestling is the sinking ship of the WWE.
