Is it stupid for human beings to be so self obsessed that we cant be humane. I read a statistic today that said 1 in 4 people are mentally ill. Why ? We have kids all over the country so desperate for help they will let some one they barely know help. Our governments dont help ...they just make it worse. We in the U. S. are spending time helping all these other countries and yet what goes on in our back yard? Those with the money don't help either. Again self centered.. There used to be a time when people came first.

This question is not meant to be insulting to Americans. I ask it because the world wide perception of Americans is that they are an inward focused society who have no interest in learning anything about other cultures. Do Americans as a whole understand the Iraqui culture? Do most Americans even know anything about one of their closest neighbours, Canada?

Should I be inclined to take her home, or is it up to her to take a cab back home. I assume she is taking a cab, because she doesn't want to drink and drive. I'm not driving 30 min. to take her home, esspecially when I've been drinking. She is the one who told me she is taking a cab to meet me in the first place, so should she take one back home?? What If she wants me to drive her home?? Heck I will take her to my place down the street, have her sleep in my bed, while I sleep on the couch. Then I can drive her home in the morning. Is that a goos idea??
