If Jesus is black and Jesus is God...then the black man is god. If the white man crucified the black Jesus (God on Earth) , then the white man is the antichrist?

The founding Fore Fathers of America were all Criminals. They were all White Supremacist but I bet that all of you naysayers believe in the Constitution that they wrote.

You love George Washington but Washing was a White Supremacist.

Thomas Jefferson is a known pedophile along with the rest of those "slave masters" that raped 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 year old girls. That was common with your Fore Fathers but you love America Don't you. Well we love Kwanzaa and we love the founder Maulana Karenga.

Okay, so the dude who created Kwanzaa did some really awful stuff in his life. He was also deemed schitzo at the time. Does this mean Kwanzaa shouldn't be celebrated? It's basic principles are still pretty good (unity, self-determination, collective work & responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith), and it celebrates the contributions made by African Americans. It's not a religious holiday, so it doesn't have to interfere with Christmas. What are your EDUCATED thoughts on the subject? Is it something that should be left alone, or is it something that should be celebrated by more people?

I figured that I would ask this because I never heard of this holiday until recently. None of my African American friends celebrate this holiday and I really do not think they know how to. I am just curious.

Not to be a jerk, but I really do not know one person who celebrates kwanzaa, and I live in NY where everything is celebrated. Kwanzaa gets a lot of press, but it seems nobody really celebrates it. Why are chinese and hindu holidays not reported about?

Some people think it is a derivative of the African pagan religions.

Or, is it simply a cultural celebration, with no religious or spiritual meaning?

I believe to find out what something is one must go to the source or roots of its beginnings. I see that a professor in college created a holiday in the early to mid sixties as a "seperate" holiday as an alternative for blacks to celebrate instead of Christmas
now I see the evolving of the holiday has some very beneficial and helpful principles it adheres to. But just wondering a honest question if we want to indeed end segragation why then create a seperate holiday from everyone else? lets practice unity not seperation

I know that there are a number of cultural celebrations, but those tend to be inclusive of others. For example, everyone is a little irish on St. Patrick's Day and is encouraged to participate. People celebrate Octoberfest that aren't german.

Is this holiday made up in 1966 the only one that is specifically excludes people from celebrating based on race?

I mean no one in the class celebrates it and she teaches the same thing every year I mean its sooooo boring. Whats the point if we wanna learn about other cultures we can do that on our own time.
