2. Simplify ^3√x^6 = x^2
3. Simplify 6√16x+5√16x = 44x
4. Simplify x+2√x-8√x-9 = x-6√x-9
5. Simplify x+9√x+4√x-9 = x+5√x-9
6. Simplify sprt(5x^4y^4) times sqrt(6x^2y) = 30x^6y^5
7. Simplify (9√x+6)^2 = 81x+54√x+36

Got no examples in the textbook to proof that.

Let P be a polynomial with integer (real) coefficients such that; (1) - the coefficient of the leading term and the independent term (counted as the coefficient of x^0 - 0 degree) are odd; (2) - The total number of odd coefficients (odd here refers to the coefficient itself, not to the degree of its corresponding term) is odd.

Like in
P(x) = x^3 - 5x^2 + 2x -7
P(x) = 9x^3 - 6 x^2 + 3x -5
P(x) = x^4 +5x^3 + 7x^2 + x +1
P(x) = 7x^5 + 2x^4 - x^3 + + 2x^2 - 8x -3

Show that P has no root such that both the real and the imaginary parts are rational. In other words, if a + bi is a root of P, then at least one of the numbers a and b is irrational.

I need to figure out if the infinite series of n^2*(-1)^n converges or diverges. It seems like it would diverge since n^2 is always increasing but I don't see how I can prove it with any of the tests that I know of since the alternating series test fails.

you know in calculus books when they want to estimate the volume of a shape in an interval like [a,b] they devide this interval into too many suintevals. then there will be too many rectangles. then they rotate each rectangle. and then they use cylinder's volume as a defined volume to find the total volume. (like an axiom)
my teacher said that in fact it's proven why the volume of a cylinder is that.
can you help me find it?
