Calculate the average value of Φ for the particle-on-a-ring system. The wavefunctions are Ψ(Φ) = 1/√2 * e^(imΦ) m = 0,+/-1, +/-2...

I know I should set up an equation like this:
∫ (-∞ --> ∞) Ψ(Φ)* Φ(hat) Ψ(Φ) dΦ

Except I have no idea what Φ(hat) is..?

The mineral apophyllite has the chemical formula:
KCa4Si8O20(F,OH)8H2O
My question is concerning the (F,OH) as whenever there is a comma like that in a chem formula there is supposed to be a "solid-solution". yet some mineralogy books say it is not a solid solution as such and in principle represents two distinct minerals: Fluoroapophyllite & Hyroxyapophyllite. So I am confused! ANy help would be appreciated.

First find the product(s) to the equation
Then balance the equation
Then list the type of reaction

I don't understand why Zn + HCl doesn't make a product of ZnCl2, because an element + a compound doesn't equal a compound, that isn't any type of reaction. What am I doing wrong?

Zn is +2 charge, H is a +1 charge because Cl is a -1 charge.
Then I swapped them to make ZnCl2 and left H out, but it just doesn't make sense.

Both water and dichloromethane have dipole-dipole intermolecular forces, so shouldn't they be miscible?

If they aren't miscible, shouldn't they separate
