My husband and I have strongly been considering Ryder as our first boys name. Do you think Ryder will be made fun of for his name?? Jokes such as Ride-her?? A lot of people have given us positive feedback on the name, but we just want to know if that's something most people think of when they hear the name. YES or NO?

My aunt and uncle are having their first child. It is a boy and they've chosen to name him Christopher Raymond. Christoper is my aunt's brother's name. And Raymond is after my uncle's grandfather's name and also similar to his own middle name (Ray). The problem I have with this name is Ray is a popular name in my family (It's my middle name as well Rae) and I just think it's too much. And I have problem with Christopher because the brother comitted suicide. I feel that it's a bad omen for the child. Am I right? Or is it ok to name the child after someone who took their own life?

I need some cute baby names. Names that you think would fit in in Connecticut or Rhode Island. So I guess preppy names.

The ones like, Shakita, Takaya, Shaneyney, Shanequa. It doesn't have anything to do with their african culture though because real africans have more traditional sounding names...

(Rachelle pronounced like Rachel).

I know the names are extremely similar but I just want to know other people's opinions on which one sounds/seems better. These names have nothing to do with a specific person .. just an opinion on which you prefer.

Thanks! :)

For those of you who go by your middle name... would you have rather had your parents switched your name when you were a baby or do you like having it as your middle name? Ex.... My son is Robert Nicholas, but we have been calling him Nicholas. Should we just leave it and continue to let him use his middle name or should be change it to Nicholas Robert.... OR should we call him Robby? My husband's name is Robert so the only option we really have with his first name right now is Robby. I am very confused on what to call him... he is 9 months old and my husband's whole family calls him Nicholas because they said Robby is too confusing. My husband wanted to use his first name because our other two sons have R names too and he thought it would be cute, but it has just caused too many problems and confusion for the family. Any sugestions???????

I'm trying to think of some good, solid, short boy names. Our first son's name is Cade. It doen't have to start with a C or sound like the same, but that's the type of name I like to give you an idea. Some ideas are Caleb, Cole, Kale, Carson (I know, it's ironic, most start w/ C, don't know why). But Caleb & Carson may be too popular, I want something a little different & something that sounds stronger. Our first son's name was different & not at all common when we named him that, but soon after, we heard the name everywhere. Anyway, any other ideas would be great.
