why do women get ripped off at the auto mechanics?

I have been to several mechanics...everyone of them has scammed me in one way or another! Most of the time they lie to me about parts thet I need...or what it will cost to actually fix the problem...why do they charge for parts runs when they should have your part in stock already?

I recently applied at a store where there was a sign which said, "Now Hiring," and turns out it was a gimmick!

This was a joke, just to get people in there to shop. The store was a dollar store in Waltham, MA, and there was no experience necessary. I gave all my info on the application, only to find out they hired people before they put up the sign. The sign is still in the window, as they keep playing this game. I want to know is this against the law or false advertising? Beware of this trick, as I have seen it a lot where I live. Does it happen in your community?
