So far there have been two suggestions that I contact my local chamber of commerce. I'm looking to find out the total number of marketing firms in Massachusetts. I don't know how contacting my local chamber of commerce will help me get this answer on a state-wide basis. I think I misunderstood the value of Yahoo! Answers:)

As mentioned above, chambers of commerce can get you started on the route to discovering the answer here. You may also want to check with Hoovers.com to do a bit more research into these firms.

You might try checking with your local Chamber of Commerce for a starting point. If you can't get the info. you need from them, there's always the phone book.
