What I mean is it doesn't have to be a show that's on the sci-fi channel, just a science fiction based show. So what is yours?

Sometimes before wheel of fortunes are finished some really gross opening scene for a crime or doctor show comes on the screen. I'm not even prepared and my kids see stuff before I have a chance to change the channel. This happens all the time on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX. I remember they saved that stuff for ten o'clock before. My kids are not in bed at eight o'clock.

I think kids are aware (I was) movies are fiction, but news always show very brutal scenes about REAL violence. Why can news show such scenes?

I just watched the final of the Amazing race and was wrapped that B.J & Tyler won since i loved to watch them and backed them the entire race. I am curious on who other people backed or did every body back the winners.

I am constantly reducing the volume on my TV when a commercial begins and then raising it again to hear the program. I find this method of gaining attention to a particular product more of a deterrent than gaining my interest. I'm going to avoid those products as much as I can - simply because I find this marketing tactic so annoying.

SPIKE TV (1st network 4 men) has made film and comec legend BLADE ( the vampier hunter ) in to the show set to air this sunner. No news on the cast. What do you thank of this? I not know if it will work on tv or if will hurt the chance for a 4th movie.

Mine is First Alert smoke alarms. The smug-soaked middle classed stereotypical nuclear family all cuddled together under their First Alert smoke alarm on top of the stair landing. The narration making out how loving daddy is for wanting to protect his toothy smiling family who are all grinning so hard they look like they had bad face lifts. Then the cringe moment: the camera closes in on to the young dutiful daughter as she bites into a healthy apple and with a big crunch she takes a big noisy bite - it has nothing to do with the smoke alarm but it to add even more sickly cuteness this spoilt brat.
Makes me want to vomit and scream !!!! No, I'd sooner purchase a competitors smoke alarm any day even if triple the price than buy a First Alert smoke alarm.

Did you all see Dateline again last night? I am freaking out how MANY sexual predators there are out there. I don't have young children anymore but they have children. I think it's great that they are putting this on tv. I have a couple questions. One, if you are a teenager, are you paying attention to how serious this stuff is and how dangerous it can be? Two, would you agree that they should also interview family members of the predators after the fact to find out what happened in their lives? I think that would be good. Their lives are ruined - and good!! Someone once answered on here "why is Dateline doing this and not the police" -- the police are there. I think it's a great idea to put this on television to scare these guys (well, maybe some of them) and to scare the kids on-line, don't you? Curious what your thoughts are on this matter in general and what about the dude - whipped cream and the CAT!!! OMG!!!!
