I lowered myself to ask my father for help getting a swing set for my daughter (would do about anything for my girl). He said he would help when he got some money (he is loaded). He is not the fatherly type, nor generous to put it nicely. He called the day after fathers day and left a message to thank me for calling on fathers day and said he sent a card with money for my daughters swing set (months after I asked).

I spoke to him today and he said he sent $150 CASH in the mail about two weeks ago.

Who sends cash through the mail? He is a successful contractor.

Do you think he actually sent it? I can not believe someone as old and money savvy as he would actually send cash through the mail.

What do you think? I am baffled.

My boss just laid it out on the line what he thought of me as his first impression, and it wasn't exactly nice. I was slightly offended, but he said he definitely changed his mind because otherwise I wouldn't have been hired. Would you be offended if your boss told you he had a bad impression of you in the beginning?

Has anyone tried dunkin donuts iced tea? I got a few freebie coupons and I think it's not bad. You can't beat TN sweet tea though.

My auntie from Alabama used to make it but I don't have the recipe. It has strawberries, cheddar cheese, olives and maple syrup. It's really good with peanut butter on a sammich.
