I recall sitting in my chair crying as the buildings came down crumbling onto the streets of New York. That was four years ago and nothing will ever be the same. I recall the Pentagon strike and the heroes who brought the plane down back east.

By the Grace of God our soldiers may be coming home next year where they belong away from an endless battle that can't be won.

Many lives have been lost and many have been changed forever during and since morning of September 11th, 2001.

Since then many Countries have grown divided. Our now divided Government has lost more trust of not only other Countries citizens, but the trust of many here in our home Country of Americas well.

Security issues have caused immigration issues turning neighbor against neighbor and brother/ sister against brother/ sister. We have more prejudices, racial issues, freedom of religion issues then ever before.

Today, take a moment to reflect what you were doing and where you were that day and how it hurt. Let's not allow our selfs ever to become complacant and desentitised to what has happened and is happening. Take a moment to say hello to someone you usually don't. Give an extra hug to your husband or wife and kids. Pray for someone you never prayed for before. Ask God to put love into the hearts of people so distant from Him. Open an ear for some who needs to talk. Help someone who needs help. Smile at someone who appears alone.

I was on a 747 three days after 9/11. We all watched the 9/11 news updates unfolding as I was on my way to meet my brother in Australia who was coming home after a couple years after working there. I remember after the 50 hours it took me to leave my door until I finally reached him due to high security. I remember the big hug we gave each other when he picked me up. I recall wondering if a war would break out and if we would get stranded there, but I figured if so he wouldn't be alone. I remember the distance I felt for those three weeks until we finally came back to our home Country of America. I was never happier to step foot back on US soil.

Every time I hear the beautiful, emotional song, "Where were you (When the world stopped spinning)" These haunting memories come back to mind. Each word is a tear in an eye. Though many of us were fortunate and did not lose a loved we can't forget or make light of the many did and still are, and the memories of them cannot be forgotten. Keep the memories alive. Tell the next soldier you see, "Thanks." Once they all come home next year we must push forwad. Remember to keep peace with each other. Let's move forward and build this country strong again. Person by person, state by state, country by country, continent by continent. We will never have world peace, but we can obtain inner-peace inside knowing that we are trying. What have we got to lose by trying to do are own little parts to fill help fill the gaps in those divisions?

This survey is not about points or stars or votes but is in honor of everyone involved.

Where were you?

Where were you when the world stop spinning on that September day?

Where Were You
(Alan Jackson)

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry

Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below

Did you burst out in pride
For the red white and blue
The heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself to what really matters

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Teaching a class full of innocent children
Driving down some cold interstate
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her
Did you dust off that bible at home
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not go to sleep
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages
Speak with some stranger on the street
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Go out and buy you a gun
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger
Stand in line and give your own blood
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us

The greatest is love
The greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day

God Bless you all and God Bless America and beyond our borders!

If you are Welsh'
Or from Scotland,
Or Ireland. Substitute what you would rather be. Or are you also proud of where you come from.
