There is a woman who is 5'1" and about 120 lbs who drank 2.5 ounces of Malibu Rum (31% alcohol) and 2.5 ounces of Blue Caracau (sp?), which is 30 proof. This woman is my mother. She drinks this "drink" whenever she has a stressful day (5 out of 7 days a week). She claims that it has absolutely no effect on her, and that she just likes it because it's "pretty and blue." *rolls eyes* Yet in the next breath when she's talking on the phone to her friends, she says, "God I need a DRINK!" (trying to whisper so that I don't hear).

Please answer the following questions:

1. Is that enough alcohol to make a person of her weight and height drunk? Buzzed? I know it varies depending on the person, but please give me a rough estimate.

2. She's lying about why she drinks it, right? I mean you don't drink something with alcohol for no reason, do you? I said that if she wanted it just "because it's blue," then she should have put some blue food coloring in water, to which she gets angry.

I posted this a bit too late for some last night. So i decided that I would post it again today so that a broader range of people could get a chance to see it.


Could you comprehend humanities greatest weakness which is the complicity of love I extend this question to those of all ages and sexes . If you were fortunate enough to find love would you understand it, would you appreciate it, but mostly importantly would you cherish it. As we grow from “Love obsessed” teens to understanding adults. Do we ever take the time to grasp the true simplicities that love has to offer. We go from relationship to relationship, partner to partner. Taking advantage of all the beauties that love puts forth yet we still sacrifice this wondrous feeling so that we can complain of how love is not perfect, and for what I ask?

This has to do with emotions. I tend to overthink things sometimes, I think. Like in sad movies whenever something sad happens I imagine how I would feel if I was that person, I imagine what they're thinking how this event will affect them and I put into detail every aspect of the person and their personality and their history with the thing they lost so it feel as if I am feeling the pain they are feeling. Of course not to the extent a real person would be feeling it, but my reactions are usually more deep than others. Like some person would be like "oh, that's sad" but I'd start crying audibly. I do it with books too.

Is that weird? Is that normal? Does anyone else do that?
