I mean, cities where you haven't just had to wait at the airport. You actually got out and visited the city. As you see, I've been a lot of places.
Friendly: Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Houston, Galveston, Amarillo, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Jackson (MS), Mobile, Nashville, Memphis, Savannah, Greenville (SC), Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro, Salt Lake City, Cheyenne (WY), New York (surprisingly), Philly, Honolulu, Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, Fargo
Not friendly: Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston, Washington (DC), Baltimore, Louisville (KY), Lexington (KY), Columbus (OH), Detroit, SanFran, LA, San Diego, Atlanta, Pittsburgh
By-and-large, the South is the friendliest, and the upper midwest is least friendly.
