I have about the opposite experience as you. I found Chicago, Boston, all excellent. I moved to SF because it was so nice, and I miss LA, which I think was wonderful, if too hot. You couldn't get me into the South again to save my life.

Many lists that handle the subject remember are extremely geard in the direction of travelers. I certainly have lived in Boston, it is not gay tolerant. do not have confidence the stereotype. many human beings flow there from different areas of latest England, that's anti-gay. cities interior the southwest variety. some aspects are actually not too gay friendly, however human beings there are some distance much less in all probability to get violent over it. i've got been to Austin and Houston easily. on the different hand, Dallas, Phoenix, and San Diego are neo-conservative.
