I thought there had to be a separation of church vs. state. A marriage doesn't have to be a religious ceremony. You're not obligated to get married by a priest, minister, rabbi, etc in a Church or Temple or anything like that. You can get married in a Courthouse by a Judge and it would still be legal. And EVEN if you do choose to get married in a ceremony that has religious affiliations, the marriage won't be legal until you sign a LEGAL marriage license. Nothing about RELIGION. Marriage is about how religious YOU make it, but most importantly it's a legal thing, so why are people so against it? Is it honestly going to affect your lives? Who CARES if they want to get married? We should let them! Heterosexuals are no superior than homosexuals, so why should we get these priviledges and they can't? That is DISCRIMINATION! SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!
Oh, and if you were wondering, I'm straight.
