It's stuck in a long and narrow jar, hit it and it won't budge..spoon doesn't fit...I guess I could get a straw and try to suck it out?

Try a skewer for barbecued meat (wooden or metal) or even a chopstick might do the trick.

Or place a small bowl on top and turn the jar upside down.

Good luck - I love olives.

turn the jar upside down and hit the bottom...(make sure theres no brine in the jar...) or use a knife to roll it out...have a bamboo skewer ??? or a thin sharp knife... or a plastic fork...break off 3 of the tines and use the one left to lift it out..

Dangle some lettuce in front of it, maybe it will crawl out of the jar.
