Some sites have long names (eg; Howstuffworks.com, EnchantedLearning.com) and yet people remember....but most long names hardly appeal... short names such as yahoo, google, alexa, though not common words, have caught on...What is the yardstick, in general, for naming a site? For instance of the following names for an educational site, which could be more suitable?
100score.com, allschoolsubjects.com, centumscore.com, myschooly.com, estudyschool.com etc
any suggestions? (i am interested to know how people perceive names)....
