I JUST GOT INTO MEDICAL SCHOOL!! I just got the acceptance letter today. I worked so hard for this..studying, taking hard classes, volunteer work, going to undeveloped countries to work with AIDS patients..and it's here..my dream is finally within reach. I am not sure of my specialty though..I know I have time to think about it but I still want to have an idea.

I have a Friend who recently Bought a House in a Brand New Subdivision about 2 years ago. She took out a fixed Mortgage and her payments were around $950 and have been up until 9 Monthsago when she was Told her payments were jumping to $1200 a Month because the taxes werent figured correctly. Well She just Received a notice that payment are jumping to $1700 a month (Double her Original Payment! ggrrrrrrr). Again the claim is that the property value was originally figured for the undeveloped land, but nowthe taxes are jumping because the property Value is Much Higher than what they were originally figured at. :-s... So the Question is , Is this Some form of Predatory lending? I know it has to be an Injustice... What recourse can she Take.
She Lives in Texas and I know that many of her neighbors are experiencing the same thing.

Okay , I kind of agree with the there is no stupid questions , only the ones you don't ask thing. But I have heard some of the stupiest questions. Maybe they aren't well thought out.
one of the stupidest question I have heard is ; Who grew those bushes? The story behind it is , I live in the dessert and by my house there are millions of grease wood bushes.
A cab driver asked me that. It was the first time I had seen him . So I had be polite , so tried to keep a straight face. I said no they grow naturally.
I was thinking " Dude , you're kidding right . No, every week people come out and plant a hundred of them a day. It's a very grueling process. Here's your sign! lol.
I know you might think that's kind of mean but I think it's so funny. I asked him how long he has lived in New Mexico and he said about 3 years.
Then I just answered a question on here that said " can you find a 3 ring binder at Walmart"?
I found this strange because there are stores all over the world.
