Well, you can't be more intelligent than the intelligence you were born with, IQ, but you can certainly become more knowledgeable by doing several things. Find things that are mentally enjoyable to and challenge you and work at it. Because, I find, if I'm not interested, I'm not going to learn very much about a certain subject. Take courses, read, search on line. Watch educational programs - History, Discovery, etc.
I enjoy doing difficult crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy (to name a few) because they "stretch" my mind. Find your niche and go for it.

stop watching TV, and doing video games and all the technoligy stuff, read books newspaper etc, for some reason the TV doesn't help us learn, we learn much faster from reading, it just sticks with us. and when you read something and feel like you've learned some thing talk about it, pass it on.
